Home Improvements

Home Improvements, is a group exhibition in a dell on a public footpath that considers ideas of domesticity, passage, and encounter, through a series of works in the landscape. The exhibition invites visitors to engage with art in a place shaped by movement, pause, and public access a setting where the boundaries between private and shared space are gently unsettled. Home Improvements brings together distinct artistic voices across sculpture, painting and textiles, creating a conversation that unfolds along the footpath, in the trees and through the natural contours of the site that runs alongside a brook. Together the works offer moments of wit, unease, tenderness, and reflection each responding in its own way to the idea of “home” and its many meanings. By situating the exhibition within a public pathway, Home Improvements opens up the experience of art to a wider audience and encourages a renewed attention to the everyday spaces we move through. The dell becomes both location and framework, a place where artworks can be discovered in passing, and where the familiar is made newly visible. Home Improvements 12 July to 11 October 2026.
